This system also includes a dyno tuned performance engineered wrinkle black aluminum intake tube and built-in 3-angle adaptor to maximize air velocity and improve horsepower, torque, and throttle response. 54-12111 comes with the 5-layer Pro 5R inverted top air filter for maximum air flow. 54-12111 comes with the 3-layer Pro Dry S air filter which requires no oils for maximum convenience. 75-12111 comes with the 7-layer Pro-GUARD 7 air filter inverted top air filter for maximum protection. The intake housing mounts to the factory intake bottom housing for an easy installation. Manifold Air Pressure Sensor – In 2012 Ford began using a Manifold Air Pressure (MAP) sensor instead of a Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF). This intake is designed specifically to be used with the factory MAP sensor. 5-1/2” Conical Filter with Inverted Top- This intake utilizes a huge, 5-1/2" oval conical performance air filter with inverted top for maximum flow. Top Mounted Heat Shield Design- aFe developed this heat shield to snap onto the top of the lower half of the factory air box to provide a hassle-free installation utilizing factory mounting locations. 3-Angle Adaptor- The 3-angle adaptor is used to speed up the air flow after the air filter for improved performance and throttle response. In recent testing, part number 54-12111 produced 8hp, 13lbs. x ft. of torque and outflows the factory intake by 69%. This intake retails for around $249.00 and is available in stores now. I read the article on the LS swap in the 85 KBlazer and considered a similar idea for my truck. I'm lookin at a 6.0L out of a Chevy/GMC truck around 04-05. As I understand, the benefits are a lot more power even in stock form as well as better fuel economy. This would also allow me to take advantage of the boom in LS parts in the aftermarket. I am considering searching the local pull-a-part and want an idea of what all I'm gonna need to make the swap. Also, are there any parts that should be purchased aftermarket? Also, the 6.0L generally use a 4L80E automatic transmission. My truck has a 4L60E but the 4L80E transmission is shown as a factory option so the transmission should bolt up with no problem, right? Lookin for any advice you can give me.

1993 GMC C1500 LS Swap |

I'm the one and only owner and put about 99% of the miles on her. She's a 5 speed, 4 cylinder,we think about 350,000 miles (I'm on the second odometer). She was built in Smyrna, Tennessee. She runs and gets me where I need to go but right now she has 2 oil leaks, she's a little rusty, the heater makes a terrible rattle and we have a few other small issues (leaky window, sticky door latch). Interior isn't bad-a few small cracks on the dash, the drivers seat is a little cracked. I had a new clutch put in a year ago and new brakes this Spring. I'm looking for a good home for her. Anyone interested? I'd be glad to send whatever details you may need. Forgot to add, the truck is located in East Tennessee.

1986.5 Nissan 4 cylinder hard body |

I have done everything from paint and body to audio, to interior and so forth myself. The only thing I needed a bit of help on was suspension which was just completed the day before yesterday with huge thanks going to Art and crew over at Hoppo's Hydraulics and Custom Suspension over in Ontario. They ripped out my old Air Ride Tech system and basically started from scratch. My baby now is riding on a full custom built reverse cantilever set up which literally drops down so low that when aired out you can hand spin the rear wheels while laying out. The coolest thing about the new air ride set up is Art was able to lay my ride out fully without having cut anything from the trunk floor to the stock strut towers, nothing except capping the rear fender wells to get the wheels to tuck, but everything else is completely untouched. Anywayz, two hard months of work and design, and if anyone can get a unibody PT to lay any lower, especially uncut, my hats off to them for sure. http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa90/westvalleycruisers/100_6381.jpg http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa90/westvalleycruisers/100_6382.jpg http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa90/westvalleycruisers/388541_278529825527584_213516828695551_783958_1957228325_n.jpg A quick vid of the guys at Hoppos of the rear set up: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=2367418544518 And some build photos. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.276831212364112.62863.213516828695551&type=3 Thank you for checking out my ride, and if any of you guys will be out at Forbidden Fantasy, please be sure to say hey to the ol Candyman.

My ongoing labor of love |

Now it stays flatter but has some serious oversteer. Short of removing the sway-bar, is there an easy way to correct this? I'd like to put a lowering kit on it, so I haven't tried changing the shocks that it came with, for fear of having to do the job twice. I'm not sure that this would rememdy the situation.
