We have been following Casey and Ron Scranton's CGS SEMA project of a Ford Sport Trac, named Coppertone. It began with a vision, which was transposed onto paper by rendering artist Sean Smith.
For this latest installment, Part 4, we will focus on final paint details as Louie Check at Lil' Louie's Pinstriping & lettering in San Bernardino, California, laid down some rock-steady horizontal pinstripes on the front fenders and doors. He also outlined the grille and air duct openings of the front valance.
The CGS Sport Trac Coppertone SEMA project vehicle was delivered to Louie check at Lil' Louie's Pinstripe & lettering in San Bernardino, California. Lil' Louie laid down some precise pinstripes along the hood. Notice the cat food Container, which is just the right size to grip between the thumb and index finger.
The Sport Trac was then cruised over to Advanced Audio in Brea, California, where Jamie Fifield installed clarion components to improve the tunes, directional guidance, and communication of the Sport Trac.
After retrieving the Sport Trac, Casey smoothed and painted many of the interior plastic dash pieces, above the center console and door panel pieces with body-matching Coppertone color to give the interior contrasting highlights. To add to the enlightened interior, Casey removed the factory headliner and covered it with ivory suede leather, then reinstalled it.
The final stop was to Roadwire in city of Commerce, California, where Todd Abraham installed a set of plush soft leather seat covers and door panels. The two front bucket seats and rear 60/40 split bench seats were reinstalled. Then, Casey and Ron loaded Coppertone into the trailer and it was off to SEMA.
