Suede has been used to provide a look and feel of luxury by the upper echelon of European car manufacturers for years. In recent times, more and more custom-truck owners have been adding suede and exotic leather materials to their trucks to create an unmistakable appearance of custom and class. As we've shown you in the three previous stories, a truck's interior is a vital portion of what should be customized. Just as important as what is customized, is how the interior design is accomplished. For this reason, and the fact that they are well-known for creating amazing and luxurious cabins, we drove over to 714 Motorsports in Westminster, California, to check out what could be done to our Project Sinatra F-150.
Meeting with both shop owner Allen Hayes and shop manager Manny de Encio, we came up with the clean upgrade of adding suede to the headliner, visors, and covering the back sub enclosure. The black suede perfectly matched the suede in our two-tone Roadwire seats. In less than 6 hours, the 714 Motorsports team had our F-150 looking like a Mercedes-Benz for the price of a Ford. Don't forget to look up when making mods to your ride, because the look and feel of suede may be just what the doctor ordered.
