When building a custom truck, a lot of people focus more on the exterior of their ride rather than the interior. After all, it's what people first notice when they roll up at the stoplight. The inside, though, is really where all the magic happens. After all, it's where the driver spends most of his or her time.
The owner of this particular truck, an '04 Chevy Silverado, decided to make some improvements to his already custom interior. Todd Jubert and his crew at The Interior Shop in Phoenix had already wrapped most of the interior in gray suede, but the black and gray suede seats seemed to stick out like a sore thumb. The owner traded off his seats for a set of stockers, plus some cash, and then took it back to Todd for a redo, this time in a more complementary color.
It took a few hours to achieve the new look, but in the end it was all worth it. The new seats looked much nicer with the matching suede and leather, and the interior was pretty much complete. Follow along, as we wrap a set of seats for an '04 Silverado.

There were a few plastic parts on the side of the seat, which were simply clipped into place. First, though, the seat reclining lever had to be removed, and it came out with a Phillips head screwdriver.

The bottom portion of the seat could be removed with the foam, just for ease of removal. It was placed to the side for pattern-making.

The back of the top portion of the seat was factory carpet, and we kept that stock, since it was going into a standard cab truck. It was cut off with a razorblade.

With the back removed, the rest of the seat cover came off easily, with care taken to pull the seatbelt through the factory hole.
