Kurt purchased a common momentary on/off switch from Radio Shack to engage the Tow/Haul mode. He cut the factory wires from the factory shifter handle and used a soldering gun to solder the wires to the new switch.

As you can see the black retainer keeps the clip locked into place. After pulling the headliner down enough to see it, Kurt slid the retainer over and freed the clip. The handle then simply pulled out.
