To gain access to the shifter Tow/Haul wires, it was necessary to pull the lower plastic panel free and remove the steel column guard. Kurt could then disconnect the wires.  Kurt purchased a common momentary...  Kurt purchased a common momentary on/off switch from Radio Shack to engage the Tow/Haul mode. He cut the factory wires from the factory shifter handle and used a soldering gun to solder the wires to the new switch.  As you can see the black retainer...  As you can see the black retainer keeps the clip locked into place. After pulling the headliner down enough to see it, Kurt slid the retainer over and freed the clip. The handle then simply pulled out.  Everything was then put back...  Everything was then put back together the way it came off.  Empire Motorpsorts included...  Empire Motorpsorts included toggle bolts, similar to those used in drywall, to insert into the roof liner and lock into place.  We inserted the bolts fully...
