In the last two issues, we've shown you how to make awesome power from your '07-and-later Tundra with the additions of a TRD supercharger and TRD dual exhaust system. Going fast is fun, but if you can't stop, all can be lost. Matching the performance and quality of its go-fast parts, TRD has released a big brake kit for the new body style Tundra. When we say big, we mean it. Measuring a staggering 16 inches in diameter, the brake rotors alone are larger than most late model truck wheels. Six-piston aluminum calipers clamp down on the drilled rotors with enough force to bring any Tundra, whether towing or hauling, to a quick stop. The install was simple and once again, we teamed with Green Toyota in Springfield, Illinois, for the photos. Check out this story and if your Tundra has larger wheels or tows frequently, take this install to heart.

Side-by-side, you can see the factory 13.9-inch rotor is a large piece of equipment, though it was easily dwarfed by the massive 16-inch drilled TRD rotor. | A quick wipe with a rag to... A quick wipe with a rag to remove the anti rust agent on the rotor surface and Kurt was ready to slide the new rotor over the lugs. |
