We used the silicone coupler to attach the intake tube to the throttle-body, ran the included PCV tube to the cam cover, and clamped the filter in place.

With the lid in place, the MAF mounted using the Sin Sity plate, and the battery reconnected, we were all through under the hood.

Here's a shot of the tread of our 245/40R20 Cooper Zeon 2XS tires. They received great reviews, come with a 45-day road test, and were very affordable. Auto Accessory Warehouse mounted and balanced our tires and were able to reuse the TPMS sensors so we won't have any warning lights on our dash.
Our Boss Motorsports wheels...
Our Boss Motorsports wheels looked great on our black Colorado. The black chrome finish was exactly what we were looking for, plus we got a warranty and the wheels are manufactured in the USA.
From The Driver Seat
The stock Colorado suspension was good at soaking up potholes and nasty road surfaces, but it severely lacked in the fun-to-drive department. The engine was a surprise, as the 2.9L pulled hard and had good midrange and top-end power, but the exhaust note was definitely nothing to write home about. The Volant intake increased engine noise a bit, but it's really only noticeable around 4,500 rpm where the frequency is just right.
The exhaust is much more mellow than we anticipated at cruising speed, with a noticeable drone only at speeds over 75 mph. It gets aggressive at wide-open throttle shortly after 3,000 rpm. The added power is a big help now that our 20-inch wheels and tires increased the rotational inertia. Speaking of the rolling stock, we are very pleased with the look and performance of the package we selected. The black chrome finish will be easy to clean and should match the accessories we have planned for the future, and the Cooper Xeon tires have much more handling grip with a quiet ride and no "singing" drone at any speed. They're a summer tire, but in southern California, that's 340 days out of the year, so we're set!
The front suspension is tight, and handling is much improved. There's just a slight amount of rubbing at full lock. After trimming one notch from the rear bumpstop we've got enough travel that railroad tracks don't make us wince. The added overload spring might have helped there. Once on the highway, we shot through a few cloverleaf highway interchanges as fast as we dared with only a hint of tire squeal from the rear. This thing grips!
