 New Suspension Max shocks...  New Suspension Max shocks were the final addition to the rear and will help provide a sporty suspension feel.  Here's a shot of the factory...  Here's a shot of the factory grille in our Ranger. You can see the core support behind it as well as the horn and hood latch. Four 7/32-inch bolts on top and two metal clips on the bottom held the grille in place.  We removed the grille and...  We removed the grille and wrapped the face in masking tape to protect it before we cut the center out as described in the instructions. After we used a pair of diagonal cutters on them, the middle lifted out, leaving us with the external shell.  Aluminum brackets were attached...  Aluminum brackets were attached to the grille using the supplied Allen bolt and 7/16-inch locking nut.  After we made sure the grille...  After we made sure the grille was flush, we clamped the brackets to the grille and drilled 1/4-inch holes through the grille shell.  Since our black grille would...  Since our black grille would really show off what's behind it, we masked the headlights and bumper and sprayed the area behind the grille with flat black paint. Using the fresh paint to help us, we placed the grille in position and marked the position to drill two 7/32-inch holes in the fiberglass grille support.  Here's the completed shot... Our exhaust solution was simple, but it did involve buying a new hanger, four clamps, and a flexible section of 2 1/8-inch exhaust tubing.  We used a reciprocating saw...  We used a reciprocating saw to remove the factory muffler. Check out how much more compact the Thrush Turbo II muffler is. It's also considerably lighter.
