 We were now ready to install...  We were now ready to install the coil/shock assembly. Three bolts up top and one large bolt on the bottom was all it took.  Out back, jacks supported...  Out back, jacks supported the axle and then the bottom shock bolts were removed. This was done to relieve tension on the leaf springs.  After lowering the axle down...  After lowering the axle down a few inches, the factory U-bolts were removed and the OE lift blocks taken off the axle perches.  With the factory blocks gone,...  With the factory blocks gone, the new, shorter U-bolts were installed.  This is when Reuben encountered...  This is when Reuben encountered the first problem of the day. The creases underneath the bed lined up perfectly with the leaf spring eyelet and interfered with pulling it free. He used a large hammer to flatten the crease and swapped in the SLP rear leaf spring extenders.  Before lowering the truck...  Before lowering the truck down off the lift, we took a look at the SLP PerformancePac. The first thing to go on was the new SLP dual exhaust system. A nice perk to this kit, both straight and angled exit tubing were included for two very different looks.  The head pipe was the first...  The head pipe was the first to be removed. Two bolts were busted free coming from the catalytic converter and one clamp leading to the muffler was removed.  After Reuben removed the factory...  After Reuben removed the factory muffler and tubing, he began to install the new SLP exhaust. The new, larger head pipe was bolted into position.  The muffler was next to go...  The muffler was next to go on and it was supported by a lift jack.
