For safety reasons, J.T. used a Branick strut coil spring compressor to remove the factory coil spring from the factory strut. A McGaughy's 2-inch lowering coil spring was then installed to the factory strut.

Using an air impact gun, J.T. removed the rear axle housing U-bolts.

To improve the exhaust flow an Advanced Flow Engineering (aFe) Mach Force XP 409 stainless steel exhaust system was to be bolted in place. The smooth curves and increased 3-inch diameter helps remove restriction and keeps the exhaust gases moving smoothly. This aFe exhaust system out flowed the factory exhaust by 55 percent improving torque, hp, throttle response and fuel mileage.
