Once Matt was finished connecting the switch controller and digital display inside of the cab, the truck was finally able to go up and down under its own power. I hopped inside and took a little whip around the block and realized two things very quickly. First, the alignment was off—way off, but that was a given, so a quick trip to another local shop fixed that problem. The second observation was just how obscenely loud the exhaust note was. I forgot that the old muffler was chopped to accommodate the Street Scraper kit, so we visited The Muffler Man, in Placentia, California, and had a new Flowmaster 40-series can and turn down welded on.
