OPP provides this template in the instructions...

...so there was no guessing where to drill the new hole.

The area right where the doorframe and door skin merge was a little too deep for the channel felt, so a few small strips of urethane were glued in to hold the felt out.

Once the felt was tucked in place, the install was almost done.

A few little things needed to be addressed before the window could be rolled up safely.

The electric door lock solenoid needed to be lowered about 9 inches to the bottom portion of the door.

A new connecting rod was made from a piece of stiff rod and a few bends with a pair of pliers.

The last little mod was trimming a 1/2-inch from the lock cylinder arm. It will still function properly once trimmed, but it won't scratch the new glass. By moving the rear channel forward, the stock door lock tumbler now interferes with the windows roll down path.

Because we were at a professional glass shop and we had a long journey ahead of us, Mike decided to have Ben's crew install a new windshield (because the old one had a massive crack in it). Now all of the glass was new except for the rear window, but that is covered in purple tint and will work for now.
