Almost ready for a test drive, we wired up the electronic B&M converter lock-up control unit and mounted it underneath the dash. For the owner's driving style, we kept the lock-up point at the lowest setting. After adding a couple quarts of fluid and then starting the truck and letting it warm up, we shifted through all of the gears and checked the fluid. Our trans was thirsty, as we almost went through an entire case (12 quarts) of Trick Shift fluid. Once it was topped off, this Jimmy was ready for the road.
