3. With the motor gone, the next step was to remove all the components that were not needed for the LS swap. The A/C will be updated at a later date, so all of the lines we removed were capped so they could remain free of debris until we installed them later. We made sure to save the truck’s original power steering high-pressure hose as well (arrow). This hose will be a direct fit on the LS-style power steering pump. We used this opportunity to pressure wash the engine bay. We made sure to tape up any electrical connections first.
