Last month, we showed you how easy it was to upgrade your airbag-equipped steering wheel and boring gauges by updating project Blue Bomber's all-stock interior. The 2011 Silverado was looking more stylish, but the work truck black plastic dash was still a buzzkill. Keeping with the best bang for the buck philosophy, we reached out to Sherwood Innovations and ordered a new dash overlay kit for the Chevy. Part of the theme for Blue Bomber was simplistic styling and Sherwood had just what we needed. Rather than go wild with a blue dash kit or even try to match the higher-optioned Silverado LTZ's fake woodgrain look, we ordered a brushed aluminum dash kit. The brushed aluminum perfectly matched the brushed wheel face on the 20-inch Racelines and the silver color complemented the silver accents on the Grant steering wheel. Best of all, it came with detailed instructions, plastic adhesive prep, and even included several extra pieces for different trim levels. It took us 30 minutes to cover up the ugly black dash and our interior was looking better than ever.
adding stickers to the dash isn't custom, just looks cheap and half assed
Or buy a Ford and have an amazing interior and exterior.
from grant steering wheels
The only thing bad ass about this dash is the speedometer
Id pass on this.. looks to cheesy.. rather leave it stock
Loving the layout
chebrolet no sirve es un caco agunte volkswagen
Jeff Anaya VEOzoOoMMmmMmm
If you fools think Chevy interiors are cheap and boring looking then you haven't seen the 2014 Silverado.
That looks cheaper than the factory dash does
What do expect its a Chevy
Dny Renteria Plascencia
Deummm bien c encima
Were can you buy those at ?
Looks like Pontiac design engineers got moved over to Chevy dash design.
Its japanese? German dashes very better designed and quality
it plastic u cant upgrade it
Which Is very common in silverados
I love Chevy and mopar but Chevy interiors are horrid
--I want! maybe Ebay.
The steering wheel cover were can i get one of does??any one know
Get a mopar!
Lame as the rest of the trucks built after 87.
This looks like it's just a thick sticker stuck on. It looks cheap. This isn't custom, it's a sticker. Reminds me of the cheap stick on "aluminum" Gas filler door.
i think it's from usspeedo
Now that's a buzkill
Personally,this overlay is a buzzkill.
I love it ...piss on the haters that cant afford custom
I believe every auto maker have used plastic for their dashes for the last 30+ years have they not.
Rather have it paint matched to the truck. This aluminum overlay still looks bone stock, just the most expensive stock version you can (or can't) buy. Lame, really. This stuff only looks awesome on old vehicles. New vehicles about all look like this already anyways anymore. Half of my gf's Ford Fiesta's dash already looks like this, and it's unimpressive. Paint matching is where it's at!
That truck needs another pedal ;)
I like the black plastic interior better. Looks clean in my opinion.
Looks better than ford with out a doubt tho.
Im just wondering what gauge overlay thing is that
Oh steve be thankful for aluminum as the alternative is fake wood yuup thats what we get for 50000 junk.
Whats so special about this ugly dirt magnet?chevys always have&still do have crappy dashes maybe in 10yrs theyll get a decent dash but i doubt it oh the rest of the truck is dead dog ugly to,i just bought a truck looked@chevys&sd.is that it i thought they were gonna fix how ugly is was but nope made it worse dumbasses, the tahoe got screwed ovee this time toi wtf are there designers smoking crack.
nothing against the company who does this or people who do, but I've never been a fan of Aluminum overlays.
