To secure the rear cab structure to the back cab wall, Jimmy liquid-nailed it and glassed it in place. The contour of the rear cab wall was used as a guide, enabling Jimmy to make the structure fit as flush as possible. The two Infiniti amplifiers, which will eventually power the extensive JBL/ Infiniti audio system, will sit behind each seat. |
After the rough structure for the back of the cab was built, Jimmy finished it off by shaping the framework around the seats with fiberglass and curving all the edges to ensure a nice, tight fit. The top of the structure was given a flared edge above the seat opening for more character. This photo shows the creation of the console top from the custom gauge pod back. Jimmy used 1x1-inch wood slats on top to create the smooth curve and contour. The wood slats were finished with fiberglass mat and resin to smooth out the surface and to help shape the console to the desired curve. |

Looking back at the dash, Jimmy built a custom dash top out of wood, which was further shaped with fiberglass to contour to the double-humped, Corvette-style dash face. |
The rear cab structure was really starting to shape up with the majority of the shaping, fiberglass, and woodwork complete. Custom amp covers were made to fit behind each seat. A circle was cut out to display the Infiniti logo once the amp is in place. |

The port for the Infiniti 10-inch subwoofer was ready and will be re-strengthened a little later with fiberglass and mat. |
A coat of PPG primer was used on the rear cab structure to locate any high or low spots in the finish before applying primer and paint. |

Jimmy spent a great deal of time wiring the truck's audio system with components from Hooker Audio. Most of the cabling was run inside the custom dash. |
Here is a shot from the rearview of the custom Corvette-themed dash. A center panel will be constructed later. The bottom side of the center console, where the custom gauge pod will eventually sit, was hit with black paint should anyone ever get curious enough to look underneath. |

The factory A-pillar panel was re-shaped at the bottom with fiberglass, enabling it to contour with the new custom dash top. |
Jimmy took a bit of time to re-strengthen the subwoofer port using fiberglass mat and resin. |

Once again, 1x1-inch wood slats were used to shape part of the custom console. This time, Jimmy focused on the forward portion of the console where the custom gauge pod will be going. Wood slats were laid next to one another, allowing Jimmy to create the desired curve as the console ascended up toward the base of the dash. The area was then glassed and matted over. |
This custom teardrop panel was made as a base for mounting the Auto Meter gauges and air suspension controls. Once again, Jimmy relied on wood and fiberglass to build and shape it. |
