After returning from the Soda Blaster, the '57 Chevy pickup was assembled on the custom tubular frame. Some minor body concerns were patched, welded, then ground smooth. New Hagan door hinges and Bear Claw latches were installed to achieve spot-on alignment and fitment of the doors and jambs. Next, the truck's entire body was disassembled and delivered to K-Daddyz Kustomz in Bakersfield, California, for final bodywork and paint.

After receiving its first DuPont sandable primer coat, the low spots received a thin layer of Evercoat Z-Grip metal body filler. Mario Miranda and Dave Salcido block sanded the entire cab for a smooth and straight surface.

Because the cab interior will not have a headliner, Penga used Evercoat Z-Grip to remove any imperfections. He then sanded the entire interior, doorjambs, and inner doors to be flat and smooth.
