When it came time for UFC fighter Mike "Quick" Swick to ride in style, he contacted HOT Motorsports, in Santa Ana, California, for a makeover on his '02 Ford F-150. For more on Mike and the end result, check out page 72. In this story, we'll show how the team at HOT Motorsports began things with a stock truck and ended up with a show-worthy fighting machine. Several companies are responsible for making this truck look as good as it does and if you see parts you want for your truck, give them a call at the numbers in the source box.
From the Driver Seat:Completely transforming a truck isn't cheap. We basically invested the truck's total worth and revamped the well-worn F-150 with the best of what the aftermarket had to offer. Looking at the truck now, you'd never know it had had a rough life. That's the look we were going for and every piece fit well and helped make the overall appearance great. It took almost a month of shop time, working on and off, but it was worth the time and money invested. If you're looking at the $12K price tag and feeling chest pains, pick and choose which mods you want to tackle, then start with one piece at a time.
