Spectra Chrome Grave Digger

Spectra Chrome Stripped Body
Each individual piece of the Grave Digger body was carefully shipped to Spectra Chrome straight from the fiberglass mold. Large wooden dowels were made to accommodate the large pieces.
Spectra Chrome Beginning Process
The team at Spectra Chrome began the chrome process by applying the specially formulated white basecoat to each body panel of the Grave Digger. This basecoat goes on smooth and works well in accepting the water-based silver metallic second stage.

A sliver mist was then sprayed from the dual-nozzle spray gun onto each panel. This water-based combination mixes to create a chrome-like coating that is shiny and very reflective.

After each panel was made metallic, they received an initial clearcoat and were given time to cure before they were painted.
