2004 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner - Prerunner Panic - Tech

Our MagnaFlow kit contained two stainless steel sections of tubing, a stainless steel muffler, and hardware. Before he even turned a wrench, Matt sprayed the two exhaust bolts and all of the rubber hangers with BP Blaster.

The penetrant helped Matt unbolt the factory exhaust, which came out in one piece. Next, the O2 sensor was bolted into the first section of the MagnaFlow exhaust.

Both the muffler and the tailpipe were threaded together until the flanges nearly bottomed out, ensuring we had plenty of overlap to clamp to.

MagnaFlow included this hanger, which mounted where the factory hanger used to be. A little BP Blaster on the hangers and the new rubber slid on. Matt tightened the clamps and the exhaust was done!

Taking a closer look at the factory headlights and turn signals, we found quite a bit of condensation and dis-coloring. One quick call to ANZO USA was about to solve this.

To gain access to the headlights and turn signals, the grille shell had to come off. We started this quick process by removing the two Philips screws on top of the shell.

The side markers were then pulled free by pulling straight back and unplugging the wire harness. After popping the push-retainer clips free inside the grille shell (five on top and four on the bottom), the grille shell was given a tug and pulled free.

Using a 10mm socket, the two headlight retaining nuts and one headlight bolt were loosened and then the wiring harness pulled free.

The difference was clear once we stacked the new ANZO lights on top of the old Toyota parts. The black backing was a subtle, yet custom touch.

After inserting the new ANZO headlight in place, a 10mm socket was used to tighten the two nuts and one bolt. We then installed the grille shell.

With the ANZO black side marker lights in place, the black combo looked great.

Lit up, the lights were just as bright as stock.
