Arriving at RBP's headquarters in Corona, California, the talented crew at RBP began the install by using a flat screwdriver to pry up the plastic retaining clips for the radiator shroud and then pulling the plastic shroud free.

With the push-pull clips loosened, the grille shell assembly was pulled free.

The grille shell was then placed on a workbench, taped off to avoid any scratches or nicks in the factory chrome, and then a jigsaw was used to cut out the plastic insert.

After the plastic was cut, the plastic honeycomb was removed from the grille shell.

A sander was then used to smooth down the rough edges for a clean appearance.

We then opened the new RBP grille box and checked out the new RX-series, one-piece, rivet-studded black powdercoated grille.

With the edges sanded smooth, the new RBP grille was placed into the factory grille shell and the inside tabs marked with a scribe.

Using the marks from the scribe, holes for the new screws were drilled. The retaining screws were then inserted to mount the grille to the shell.

A really cool part of the RBP one-piece grille is the included billet covers that fill in the gaps on the '05-'07 HD grille shells. These caps will provide a custom look that makes the new grille look complete.

A Unibit was used to make a hole for the new cap mounting screw.

Here, you can see how the caps mount and cover the large gap from the factory.

And just like that, the grille shell had a sweet new black grille from RBP.

The grille shell simply snapped back into place and the cover and clips were installed.

As you can see, the new RBP grille is leaps and bounds better than the factory all-plastic honeycomb grille.

The black with rivet-studded surrounds looks menacing and the RBP star adds some style to the front end.
