Sony Five-Sided SubsSony introduced its Xplod line of speakers a couple of years ago, and recently expanded this series to include amplifiers and subwoofers. Pictured here is a P5 subwoofer, a product that was built to combine optimal power and performance with stand-out styling. The five-sided design adds structural strength and rigidity, which helps minimize distortion and cancellation caused by standing waves. These subs can also handle more power, with peak power as high as 1,400 watts, and come in 8-, 10-, 12-, and 15-inch sizes.
