USA Spec iPod Interface Installation - iPod Revolution
 It's not required to unplug...  It's not required to unplug all of the factory harnesses, but it did make things easier. |  It was now time to open the...  It was now time to open the box from Crutchfield and what we found was a complete interface unit from USA Spec. Everything needed was included and no tools are required. |  We were now ready to start...  We were now ready to start connecting the new harnesses with our factory pieces. First up, the green factory connector was inserted into the white harness from the USA Spec wiring. |
 The other end of those wires...  The other end of those wires lead to the interface box and that harness was plugged into the radio cable of the USA Spec unit. |  We then ran that cable through...  We then ran that cable through the dash and into the glove box. This cable plugs into the interface box. |  After removing the plastic...  After removing the plastic surround from the tape player located in the center console with a 9/32-socket, the iPod cable was fed from the glovebox into the storage area under the tape player. |
 Each cable was then plugged...  Each cable was then plugged into the USA Spec interface box and the box was secured in the glovebox. |  We could then plug the harness...  We could then plug the harness back into the radio and try everything out before reinstalling the bezel. It sounded great! |  With everything back in place,...  With everything back in place, the head unit was able to receive MP3s from the USA Spec interface box. |
 Here you can see why it was...  Here you can see why it was necessary to remove the plastic surround for the tape player. By doing so, we have a small storage area for the iPod, cable, and somewhere to hide it. |  You'd never know an iPod was...  You'd never know an iPod was neatly resting in this storage area | |
