Starting with 42lb/hr Ford Racing fuel injectors, our confidence was already rising. These same injectors power the supercharged 5.4L V-8 Lightning trucks up and down the dragstrips of America. Reliability and performance are two words associated with these green bad boys.

We had to remove the Allen Engineering fuel-pressure booster add-on piece that simply press-fitted into place on top of the factory fuel-pressure regulator via an O-ring. With that out of the way, we had access to the fuel rails.

Out came the 19 lb/hr stock 4.6L fuel injectors.

In went the awesome 42 lb/hr Ford Racing injectors.
2001 Ford F150 Dyno Tune Fuel Pressure Test
A quick fuel-pressure test was performed to ensure proper psi and to check for leaks. Once we were good-to-go, we moved on to the spark plug install.
2001 Ford F150 Dyno Tune New Spark Plugs
Opting for a heat range cooler than factory, we installed Autolite Iridium XP 103 spark plugs. These high-performance plugs are perfect for boosted applications and will make sure all of the extra fuel and air is burned off correctly.
