Banks' kit has vehicle-specific mounting brackets for the Palm PDA. After wiping the plastic dash with the included alcohol cleaning wipe, the self-adhesive backing on the PDA was stuck to the dash, so as to be in plain view and easy reach of the driver. This Super Duty has a flip-face screen on the head unit, and the PDA's location did not interfere. That's good engineering.

Putting plenty of lives on the line, including our own, we slipped the Banks tuner into the Speed Loader setting, assuring ourselves plenty of transmission thrashing horsepower. As you can see from the PDA's display, we were pushing 95-percent of the total power output with more than 1,100 degrees of exhaust. Speeds were climbing rapidly and at the moment the image was taken, the PDA showed 30-psi of turbo boost, and our butts were planted firmly in our seats.

From The Driver SeatPower with the Banks Six-Gun Advanced Tuner really hits hard. There is no way you will be able to live without it once you have it. Some discretion has to be exercised, though, as the Six-Gun with the Speed Loader option will torture the factory transmission into submission if pushed hard enough. Settings 1-3 are fine for daily driving and towing chores, with 4-6 reserved for more modifications and more power. The Speed Loader option is basically a seventh setting, and of course it has the most power. Banks recommends an intake and exhaust with its Six-Gun Tuners, and although its not shown in the story, the truck was already equipped with a Banks stainless system. After further conversation with Noe, the owner of O.C. Diesel, he told us that many people are afflicted with the disease, known as a shortage of horsepower. To get yourself a shot of just what the doctor ordered, contact either Banks or O.C. Diesel today.
