2007 Chevrolet Silverado - Fantastic Four
The brakes were mounted, the steering linkage was reattached, and the mounting bracket for the ABS cable was bolted on. It was positioned carefully so it wouldn't be pinched between the upper arm and knuckle. Then, the ABS line was clipped inside the bracket, rather than outside, to allow more slack in the line.
That was it for the front. We moved to the rear. Here you see a before shot of the rear suspension. While unviewable in this picture, we had to remove the truck's hitch in order to access the bottom bolt on the factory shackle. The factory shackle was removed and compared to the longer Belltech shackle on the right to show the difference in length, and then the Belltech shackle was installed on the end of the factory leaf spring pack.
The factory spacer was removed because we didn't need it anymore.
We went with a set of slim-profiled Toyo Proxes and slick, 24-inch Echelon wheels.
