From the Driver Seat:
Since this '09 Chevy Silverado was headed to SEMA, there were many factors that did not allow us to take it for a spin after the MagnaCharger was installed. Once back from its trip from Las Vegas, Nevada, Magnuson is scheduled to run a few tests on the truck, as well as place it on the dyno for a true glimpse of its output of horsepower and torque. Unfortunately, the truck lost its variable displacement function but, after all, we were looking to unleash more power. Running the Silverado as a full-time V-8 will only guarantee peak power results. Fuel economy worries are typically checked at the door for an install such as this anyway, but it is worth noting that if the throttle isn't always mashed, an improvement in mileage can be obtained because the engine is running more efficiently. The install went fluidly except for the manifold valley plate and gasket problem, but Magnuson was quick to send us the right parts and offer further instruction to help us get their prototype blower installed correctly.
