2009 Chevy Silverado Supercharger Installation - Blown For Show

The pulleys were loosened and the serpentine belt was unraveled and the alternator was now ready to be removed.

The eight fuel injectors were removed by pulling up then pushing on the release tab.

After the bolts holding the manifold to the engine had been removed, the intake manifold was now ready to be pulled out.

The intake ports were covered with tape to ensure nothing could accidentally fall inside.

With the factory intake manifold on the workbench, the MAP sensor was taken out...

...and transplanted into place on the MagnaCharger unit.

The provided gaskets were then applied to both sides of the supercharger manifold.

When J.C. attempted to drop the MagnaCharger unit into place, he encountered a problem. The stock valley plate didn't allow for the supercharger manifold to sit flush, so it was removed...

...and the variable displacement solenoids were taken off in hopes they would be usable with the new plate (right) that was express mailed to us. Unfortunately, the gasket didn't sit on the new plate correctly.

So a new gasket had to be sent out from Magnuson and the truck would lose its variable displacement function.

With the new valley plate in place...

...the MagnaCharger unit was ready to be planted.
