A supplied vacuum hose was run from the brass port on the surge valve to the passenger side of the intake manifold. A supplied 3/8-inch tube was attached to the crankcase vent port, which was just behind the oil fill neck. The plastic air tube running from the top of the intake manifold to the rear of the driver-side valve cover was removed and the proper tube connections were routed to a provided check valve, which will alleviate pressure and help avoid oil leakage.

Next, the electrical connectors were removed and were marked according to their injector location. This is a vital step as to not cause any injector misfire after reassembly that can stem from a mistimed, non-sequential firing order.

The four bolts along the fuel rail were removed and the injector retainer clips were removed. We held ProCharger's higher capacity injectors (left) and the factory units up for direct comparison. The clips were reused and the O-rings were lubed and attached to the new injectors before everything was buttoned up.

The final connections were then made to the intercooler on both sides and the truck was lowered again so the fan shroud and beauty cover could be dropped back into the engine bay.

The ProCharger unit does not...

The ProCharger unit does not come oiled from the factory, so it was imperative that the unit was filled before use.
From The Driver Seat
After the installation, you can pretty much guarantee that everything you would expect from a ProCharger intercooled supercharger was delivered to us in spades. In the lower RPM range, more rear-wheel torque is now available due to the denser, cooler air temperature and in the mid to higher ranges, we gained more power per pound of boost. With all of the added performance gains, the Silverado maintains its daily drivability - after all, the engine has been modified to be more efficient. The guys at HOT Motorsports completed the installation within six hours. After only being under the knife between the hours of mid-morning to mid-afternoon, the '08 Chevy Silverado was up and ready to hit the streets with a serious vengeance. Racking up speeding tickets is inevitable, but it would be a sin not to mash on this truck's hot gas pedal.
