A 31/2-inch reducer was placed around the throttle-body and the upper tube was inserted and clamped down. The MAF sensor needed to be squeezed into the supplied elbow hose, which was not exactly an easy fit. Once in place, the fitting was clamped and attached to the end of the upper tube. The connection to the intercooler was not made until after a few more steps were covered under the hood.
