I didn't realize it was such a waste to change oil before the oil light meter comes on. That is something I've done in the past. I guess I'm just paranoid that I'm not changing it soon enough. I just need to learn to trust that indicator. http://www.billsmithsauto.com/service.html

Thanks for going over a few of the differences in mileage. I have been confused lately because I'm so used to the '3,000' mile rule. Is a longer lasting oil change becoming more common among all models of cars or is it more prevalent in some than others?
