Kelderman Suspension Install - Elevated Excursion

Troy and Kent installed the four-link bars up front before moving on to finishing the rest of the front Kelderman Air Ride suspension installation.

Troy installed the supplied Kelderman bottom air spring bracket and secured it to the front axle using the supplied hardware.

Per the instructions, the factory sway bar mount was cut off using a blowtorch and a steady hand. A new mount was welded to the Kelderman bottom 'bag bracket assembly.

With the prep work out of the way, the supplied front air springs were slipped into position between the top and bottom air spring mounts.

This shot shows one of the front airbags in place and tightened up to the assorted brackets.

The factory front sway bar was removed and set aside to provide room for installing the front Panhard bar.

The front suspension Panhard bar was put in place at the Panhard bar mounting bracket. The supplied fasteners were installed to mount it up.

Troy used an impact and an open-end wrench on the backside to tighten the Panhard bar into place.

Here is a shot of the front suspension Panhard bar bolted up and ready to work. The Panhard will keep the front differential centered.

Before finishing up the rest of the front suspension, this polished front differential cover supplied by Off Road Unlimited was installed to complement the axle's fresh black paint.

Here the factory sway bar end link bracket on the frame was flipped over to meet the new length demands of the supplied end links.

The front driveshaft was hooked up and tightened at the U-joints.

The steering was reconnected with the dropped Pitman arm before Troy and Kent moved on to the final stages of the front suspension installation.

Here is a shot of the front suspension after all the Kelderman Air Ride brackets, four-link bars and mounts, and airbags were installed. We were well on our way to having a smooth-riding Excursion with an impressive and adjustable suspension lift.

The Kelderman Air Ride four-link bars were tightened firmly at the forward mounting bracket.
