The crew at McGaughy's then re-installed the factory brake-hose bracket with the supplied self-tapping screws. With that accomplished, it was time to tighten the upper hub nut to 70 lb-ft. (Note: that was supplied in the kit and installed in photo 09) |
With the rotor and caliper in place, the bolts were secured with an impact gun. |

For this install, large 24-inch wheels were going to be installed, but to show you how cool the kit is, you can actually use your stock 17-inch wheels with the McGaughy's kit by grinding off the small remnants of the lower ball joint stud protruding from the bottom of the spindle. If 17s are not in your future, this stepcan be ignored. |
Now it was time to swap the coils and the team at McGaughy's used a strut compressor to swap the factory coils in favor of the 3-inch drop coil. With that handled, the front strut assembly was re-installed and the crew moved to the rear. |

Out back, the rear shackle nuts were loosened and the bolts removed. |
Up next, the McGaughy's team removed the factory shocks. |

Using a hydraulic jack, the rearend was supported. With an impact gun, the U-bolts were removed. Notice the factory setup shows the leaf spring pack on topof the axle. The crew then swapped the position of the leaf spring pack on top of the axle using the supplied flip bracket. They made sure the narrow ear of the pack faced the rear of the truck. |
Once the leaf pack was tightened down, the new McGaughy's shocks were installed. |

Next, the new U-bolts were secured with an impact and it was time to install the new Foose wheels and remove the truck from the lift. |
With Everything buttoned up, the '07 Silverado looked awesome and was ready to cruise the streets of Cali in style. |
