The solution came by way of a ProCharger supercharger system with an air-to-air intercooler. The kit came polished with all of the necessary brackets, mounting hardware, and tubing for the install. |
Following the instructions, the ProCharger head unit was bolted onto the mounting bracket that bolted to the front of the engine block. Then, things got a little of out of control at Shocker Motorsports. |

Talk began of really making the truck custom, and before the air-to-air intercooler could be mounted, the body was taken off of the frame. Now, things were getting serious. |
After the engine, transmission, fuel tank, and suspension were pulled free from the Chevy's frame, the dirty work of stripping the frame of its factory-applied undercoating was next up on the to-do list. Exhausted from the tear-down, Pat recruited his little cutie, Charlee, to help her daddy with the scraping. |

Stripped to bare metal, the frame was sent off to Powdercoat USA for a protective coating of blue powdercoating. |
Coated and back at Shocker Motorsports, the frame was looking good and ready for the engine and tranny. |

The amount of work involved in removing the body from the frame and reassembling the Chevy goes to show the high level of craftsmanship displayed at Shocker in every truck they build. |
Putting the Suburban back together was a team project. |

The crew was then able to bolt on the ProCharger air-to-air intercooler and finished connecting the tubing for the supercharger. |
Using a 12-inch Cognito lift, each part was test-fitted in raw steel before being sent out to Powdercoat USA for powdercoating and Brooks Coatings for ceramic coating. The 12-inch Cognito lift for the Suburban 2500 eliminated the need to drop the torsion bars, included Uniball upper control arms, and used heavy-duty Heim joints for the steering tie rods. |

Back from receiving each type of protective coating, the suspension drop down brackets were installed next. |
The Shocker team then installed the wild dual-shock hoop setup with chrome-plated Fox Racing Shox. They also bolted on the Uniball upper control arms, lift spindles, and heavy-duty sway bars. |
