Calmini's 3-inch lift kit...

Calmini's 3-inch lift kit (#12513) was the first to be ripped out of its box. Great part construction and design-the new torsion bars, upper control arms, blocks, shackles, and shocks looked and felt indestructible.

With the truck on the lift,...

With the truck on the lift, Michael, from Street Wise in Rancho Cucamonga, California, started the suspension installation by removing the factory wheels and tires and then loosening and removing the torsion bar anchor bolt.

The anchor bolt was then secured...

The anchor bolt was then secured and retightened around the Calmini torsion bar.

Michael then set his sights...

Michael then set his sights on the rest of the front suspension by inserting the provided bushings into the new upper control arms and loosening the ball joint nut. The factory control arm was then tossed in the scrap bin.

In went the new control arm...

In went the new control arm and on went the new ball joint nut assembly.

The factory torsion bar was...

The factory torsion bar was coaxed out with a little elbow grease.
