Among the army of Ford Lightnings that came out to represent at this year’s Throwdown is Nass Hassan’s 2004 model. But as you can see, this is no ordinary Lightning, starting with its purple paintjob. But it’s “pretty” color doesn’t mean it isn’t a serious performance machine. Hassan’s Lightning is packing a custom intake, Kenne Bell supercharger, Mammoth throttle body, Comp Cams Stage II performance cams, Kooks long-tube headers, and a Magnaflow muffler. Helping put the power to the ground is a 2,600-stall converter and custom valve body by C.H.T. Hassan’s Lightning is built to handle with front Ford Racing springs, Eibach rear shackles, and So-Cal rear shock extenders. The truck rolls on 295/45-18 front and 305/45-18 Nittos on the stock SVT rims. To keep an eye on all the high-performance action, Hassan has a three-gauge A-pillar pod with an AEM air/fuel monitor, and Auto Meter boost and fuel pressure gauges.
