We recently embarked on another year of our world famous Truckin Throwdown, where a select few of our loyal readers get the chance to bring out their trucks and spend the day competing on a variety of courses where their trucks are pushed to their limits- and sometimes a little farther! As usual, the events consist of a Slalom course, a Stop Box, ¼-mile Drags, and an Autocross course.
This year brought a few changes- and all of them made for a better day of racing. The first of which was that EBC brakes (ebcbrakes.com) signed on as our title sponsor. Not only are they good people to work with, but they sent out a set of pads to each and every participant that wanted them to aid in their success in the Stop Box competition. We also moved the event to the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA, and that meant that for our drag competition, we used the world famous NHRA facility! Finally, we had a brand new killer grand prize trophy milled up by our Canadian friend Phil Chalette of Philbuilt Designs.com.
We have so much killer coverage this year that we needed to break it up into two parts. So take a look at the competitors this year, in both the Reader Competition class and the Outlaw Exhibition class, and stay tuned next month for the Event by event breakdown and results!
