Truckin's Top 10 is reserved for the best of the best. As you will see, these are not trucks that have appeared on the covers of the past year. Obviously, the cover trucks were some of the best trucks in the country over the last year, hence their spot on the acclaimed cover. We decided to instead give the owners of the rest of the trucks a fighting chance. So here they are, the Top 10 trucks of 2010. Please go online to truckinweb.com and vote for your favorite truck. '96 Chevy Silverado
Arizona residents are used to the heat of the desert, so Andy Gulick, of Phoenix, wanted something that would make people sweat even more. Starting with a stock 1996 Chevy Silverado, Andy started by dropping it to the deck using Belltech drop spindles, Firestone 'bags all the way around, an Ekstensive two-link out back, and bolted on SSBC rotors with polished calipers. From there he added 22-inch Bonspeed Clutch billet wheels wrapped in Pirelli rubber. To spice things up even more, he bolted on an Escalade front clip with a heavily massaged '03 Yukon front bumper. Andy then added Chevy Malibu door handles and a Sir Michael's rear roll pan. To finish things off, he had his custom Chevy covered head to toe in Lexus LS460 silver paint. The inside sports '99 Tahoe bucket seats, a custom floating center console, four JL audio 13-inch subs, three Alumapro components, and a Pioneer receiver. Andy, great job and congrats!
'57 Chevy C6
Rodger Lee's black '57 Chevy C6 is just about as custom as they come. The dual tube chassis incorporates Corvette C6 front spindles, with upper and lower control arms. Out back, a Ridetech pneumatic Shockwave rear suspension with the Shockwaves is laid horizontally and cantilevered with rods mounted vertically. Ridetech 'bags and Chris Alston Varishocks soften the ride, while a set of Wilwood 14-inch rotors and six piston calipers bring this sled to a halt. Up front, an LS2 stroker connected to a Tremec T-56 six-speed manual transmission provide the ponies to get up and go. To show off the engine, a forward-tilt hood was installed with actuators. Inside, lipstick red leather is offset with a black painted dash and billet accessories. With everything said and done, it's no wonder this truck made into our Top 10.

'65 Chevy C10
Mike Dillon is no stranger to racing. Being the general manager of Richard Childress Racing gave Mike the motivation to build a truck that was show-ready, but also very much race-ready. Starting with a Jim Myer's racing chassis, Mike had Street Customs and Restorations install the GM Performance Parts Ram Jet 502 backed by a Tremec five-speed. A custom intake with dual air filters helps this dragon get fresh air. With all that power, huge Brembo brakes and six-piston calipers were needed to harness the Chevy. For rolling stock, Mike chose Foose Nitrous Legend wheels enveloped with BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW rubber. Sherwin Williams black paint is broken up with a red 3/4 molding stripe. With Second Skin insulation and Dynamat laid down on the inside, you're sure to have a nice quiet ride. A set of Finishline-built seats wrapped in black and red leather and Simpson racing harnesses give the driver and passenger a true race feel.
Viking, Alberta, Canada
'67 Chevy C10
Hailing from Alberta, Canada, Richard Hammer gave us the opportunity to check out his '67 Chevy C10 at the 2009 SEMA show. With a fully boxed and polished frame, Mustang II spindles, Slam Specialties 'bags, Belltech Nitro drop shocks, and a custom four-link with a wishbone, the term custom suspension fully applies. The body had to be sectioned, chopped, and dropped 9 inches to make it sit as low as possible. A Chevy 383ci small-block puts out 432 hp to a B&M 4L60 transmission that pushes the Billet Specialties wheels and General tires along the Canadian soil. The engine features AFR 195cc polished heads, an Eagle Specialties rotating assembly, Crane cam roller rockers, and a Comp camshaft. With an interior as custom as the exterior and the whole truck soaked in House of Kolor Tangelo Pearl, this sure is an attention grabber.
2005 Ford F-250
Ford F-250s are big from the factory, but they aren't big enough for Barbaro Gonzalez's liking. He wanted massive. So he took his 2005 F-250 to the chopping block. By stretching the chassis 22 inches, Barbaro was able to fit another set of doors into the body. The front and back ride on an airbag-assisted leaf-spring suspension with Rancho shocks. Under the suspension are 24-inch Diesel wheels with 17.5x24 industrial backhoe tires. To finish off the exterior, Barbaro had it painted with PPG red paint. The interior is equally amazing. There are 22 sets of Infinity component speakers throughout the cab, four MTX 15-inch subs, two Soundstream 900.4 amps, four Soundstream 6500 amps, and an Alpine head unit. For entertainment purposes, there are two 16-inch monitors connected to a PlayStation 3. It is quite apparent why this truck made it into our Top 10.
Howard "Howie" Kendrick
'67 Chevy C10
Most professional athletes opt to drive new, top-of-the-line luxury cars. But not LA Angels of Anaheim's second baseman Howie Kendrick, he wanted something a bit custom. We praise Howie for going against the grain with his custom '67 C10. Built by Chassis by Aaron, this Denim Blue Pearl beauty is comprised of a custom sheetmetal chassis, body, and interior. Under the hood is a LQ9 6.0L equipped with a MagnaCharger supercharger for plenty of go. The engine has JE pistons and rods, Comp cams, Z06 heads, and Edlebrock headers. The interior is super sweet with a custom light gray leather seat and matching door panels, custom sheetmetal dash, and Autometer gauges. For his listening pleasure, Howie had a Pioneer head unit installed, which is hooked up to a Memphis Audio amp and two Memphis Audio subs. Howie, you've definitely hit a homerun with this truck.
Grant's Pass, Oregon
Randy Grubb has been customizing vehicles for a long time, but his current creation has secured him a seat in the top ten for 2010. Starting with a V-12 engine and a Peterbilt cab, Randy began his project in a big way. The cab was chopped 5 inches in rear and 8 inches in front to achieve the necessary rake and then aluminum was formed and riveted in place, just like the original. Randy liked the original Peterbilt grille, so he left it but first had to section it 101/2 inches. The cab sits atop a custom chassis and a suspension grafted from GMC components in the front. The rear is a narrowed Rockwell riding on elliptical leaf springs that sit on bushings on the axle. With handtooled leather-wrapped seats being the only non-bare metal pieces on the inside, completion of the interior was a quick process. For the engine, Randy used a 1974 12v-71 Detroit Diesel engine. "Piss'd Off Pete" is a great example of what a little creativity and elbow grease will get you.
'03 Chevy Silverado
Nick McLemore knew for years that he wanted a tricked-out custom truck, so when he bought his '03 Chevy Silverado he took it straight over to a shop and had them start on it. A solid frame is essential, so a custom 2x3-inch boxed frame was built. Next, a custom suspension was built around the frame consisting of a two-link with a Panhard bar out back and Contitech 'bags on every corner. This new frame and suspension was placed on 22x91/2-inch Image Alloy wheels and Continental Sport Trac 265/30R22 rubber. With the help of R.J. Silva of Eye Kandy designs, Nick designed a simple but vibrant two-tone paint scheme with Sherwin Williams Burning Ice and Ballistic Blue paints. A Grant Kustoms skin replaced the tailgate out back, while Cadillac taillights and a Sir Michael's roll pan finished off the rear. A Katzkin leather interior and a custom center console wrap up this masterpiece.

'65 Chevy El Camino
Travis Reif's first '65 El Camino had to be sold because it got so far out of hand that he got frustrated with it. So he started on his second '65 El Camino. This one is dropped to the ground with 2-inch drop spindles, Hotchkis upper control arms, Ride Tech 'bags, QA1 shocks, and Hotchkis tie-rod ends up front. Out back are Hotchkis boxed trailing arms, Ride Tech airbags, QA1 shocks, and a Chris Alston Fab9 9-inch rearend. To get this custom suspension moving, Travis threw on a set of 20-inch Boss wheels and Nitto tires. Wilwood big brakes sit behind the wheels and help slow the 350ci V-8 powered Elco. The engine is upgraded with a GM performance Parts hot cam, Holley carb, Hedman headers, and Flowmaster mufflers. For the interior, Travis had a pair of Glide Engineering seats covered in leather and suede. When in Vegas, watch out for this Elco terrorizing the streets.
'57 Chevy Cameo
Mark Espino of Houston, Texas bought his '57 Chevy Cameo with a Camaro subframe and an Apache fleetside bed already on it. But he wanted more. Starting with Impala drop spindles, Firestone 'bags, and a ladder bar setup, Mark got the truck super low. With the addition of 22x8.5-inch and 24x14-inch Bonspeed Atom wheels, Pirelli tires, and '07 Corvette Z06 big brakes ,the dropped Chevy could roll and stop in style. To make it scream along the Texas highways, a 454 big-block was dropped in with a Turbo 350 transmission. The interior is comprised of a black and red leather bench seat, a matching Bonspeed steering wheel, and a killer sound system. These components come together nicely to make a machine fit for Truckin's Top 10.
Sergio Gonzalez Jr.

'02 Chevy Silverado
Sergio Gonzalez Jr. spent ten years serving our country in the United States Marine Corps. When he got out, he had one thing in mind- finish his custom '02 Silverado. Sergio wanted his truck to lay out on 26s. It does this with the help of custom upper and lower control arms with uniballs, a reversed triangulated four-link, and a narrowed rearend built by Chassis by Aaron. Contitech airbags help it go up and down to cover up the 26-inch MOZ Sapphire wheels and Hankook Vestus tires. Finally a set of 14-inch SSBC rotors and equally beefy calipers give "The Blue" a brake. Inside, Sergio went with a combination of manufacturers for the sound system: JL Audio for the subs, Alpine for the amps, Focal for the door speakers, and Alpine again for the head unit. The only thing factory about the interior are the seatbelts, and that is exactly how Sergio wants it. Sergio, thank you for serving in the U.S. Marine Corps and one more thing...oorah!
