Back in 1999 Local Minis member Bruce Rivera was involved in a serious motorcycle accident when he was struck by a drunk driver. That accident required multiple blood donors to help him throughout the recovery process. The members of the club decided to put on a show and bring in the Bloodmobile to help Bruce. The show was a success and along with record donors also brought awareness of the casualties of drunk driving.
After a brief hiatus, Blood Drag arrived back in South Florida. The location was the beautiful Amara Shriners Fairgrounds in in Palm Beach County. Among the 300 registered vehicles and over 500 spectators, Blood Drag 2013 offered a new and unique addition. A tattoo exposition was brought in for all the tattoo enthusiasts. As most spectators were occupied admiring the hundreds of custom trucks, many were in the inside halls checking out all the talented tattoo artists.
