If there's one thing Florida is known for, it is its beautiful but unpredictable weather. After last year's Spring Fling was spoiled by rain, the threat was there again this year. The forecast didn't have sun showing for days; however, on Saturday morning when over five hundred custom trucks piled into Frank Brown Park in beautiful Panama City Beach, there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Throughout the day, temperatures hit the high 90's, and everyone had a blast at Spring Fling 2013.
The Vital Signs crew, led by promoter Doug Augustine, debuted new club games that definitely won't be forgotten soon. The airbag toss opened up the club competitions, followed by the Loud-Mouth Drag contest and the Progressive Drag Race in which club members ran to each post to put on items of women's clothing, the last of which was makeup. When the club games were over, the stage was set for what proved to be the hottest bikini contest that Spring Fling has ever seen, with Memory Beamon taking home top honors. Immediately after the contest ended, the skies opened up in perfect Florida fashion and sent everyone running to their tents.
Spring Fling is always the best show in Florida, filled with the most amazing vehicles and beautiful women the Sunshine State and its surrounding states have to offer. The show after-party was held at the new Wicked Wheel Bar & Grill, a venue that was designed primarily for the truck and automotive community. Doug Augustine wishes to thank all the sponsors for making this year's show as successful as it was, and all the participants for showcasing their finest rides on the biggest stage in Florida. With future dates being talked about, Spring Fling is definitely on our calendar for next year.
