For those of us residing in the western states, the mere mention of a weekend at the river evokes thoughts of hitting the water in our boats and jet-skis, relaxing in our RVs, getting a little tipsy, and having a blast. However, in case that’s not enough motivation to make the trek through the desert, one weekend in April provides a guarantee of even more to do. Friday, April 26th marks the beginning of West Coast Nationals, a show that packs the small town of Parker, Arizona with custom vehicles of every kind. Hosted at scenic La Paz County Park on the banks of the Colorado, West Coast Nats provides both a beautiful show venue and a great opportunity to camp, party, and hit the river all weekend long. Walking the show grounds, we were greeted with tons of slammed full-size trucks, minis, classics, and muscle cars. And, when the 100-degree heat got to be too much, the cool water nearby provided the perfect relief—it doesn’t get much better than that.
