The San Joaquin Valley that runs down central California has become known for a few things: agriculture, sweltering heat, and killer custom trucks. Whether you’re looking for slammed fullsizes, minis, or the distinctive CenCal-style lifted trucks, you’ll find them in the valley. Showing the region’s variety of build styles once more, this year’s Summer Madness show brought hundreds of trucks to the Kern County Fairgrounds in Bakersfield, California. Several trucks even trekked from Arizona and Texas to make the show, resulting in an impressive turnout. Temperatures rose past 100 degrees much of the weekend, and many show-goers sought shelter in inflatable pools or under E-Z Up canopies. Fortunately, the show was a huge success despite the heat.
