For the tenth year, Southeast Showdown took place in Anderson, South Carolina. Anderson is the smallest of three primary cities that make up the upstate region and is nicknamed “The Electric City.” Electricity was in full effect as the weekend started with dark clouds and thunderstorms, but around noon on Saturday the skies cleared up and the sun beat down on Anderson Motor Speedway where over 400 custom trucks lined the track and infield areas.

With the spectator numbers on the rise, Southeast Showdown hit its largest mark bringing in over 2,000 people packed into the track areas. Sam’s Garage had the honor of being the presenting sponsor with Drop Em Wear, Nopi, Welches Chop Shop, Your Custom Car, Hotridesmag and other sponsors helping out. Club awards went to No Regrets, Relaxed Atmosphere, Twisted Minis and Earth Scrapes. Numerous trucks were given the acknowledgment of Best Debut, but it was Ronnie with his Chevy full-size took top debuting honors. Loaded with events running throughout the fun-filled weekend Southeast Showdown presented a tattoo contest, a burn out competition and a soapbox derby for everyone’s enjoyment.

Show promoter John Fulmer wishes to thank all the hardcore supporters who enjoyed the show for the past 10 years and will continue to come out and show with the best vehicles. A special thanks to John’s son Logan, Allison Cagney, Justin, Jason, Kent, Clell, his wife and Brandon. As one of the best shows attended this year, Southeast Showdown will continue to grow larger each year. The 2014 show dates are set for July 26th and 27th.
