There is good news for those who always wanted an STX model Ford F-150 but didn’t consider it because it wasn’t offered in a SuperCrew configuration – for 2014 an STX SuperCrew will be offered. For those who didn’t know or care that the STX wasn’t offered in a four door SuperCrew – now you know and are that much smarter. For those who don’t know what the STX is, it’s the model between the work-ready XL and the prevalent XLT model. This new configuration comes during a time when full-size pickup truck sales are on a rise (23 percent through July), so it’s fitting that this fastest growth segment this year receives an additional cab option for the STX. The STX SuperCrew will offer the entry-level and value-oriented truck customer an affordable, spacious, capable, and stylish option, with more exterior upgrades and interior features than the usual entry-level crew cab pickup. The V6 4X2 STX SuperCrew starts at $33,145, while a V8 4X4 starts at $37,570.
The 2014 Ford F-150 STX SuperCrew features color-matched body pieces (front bumper fascia, grille surrounds, front and rear step bumpers), Power Equipment Group (power windows and sideview mirrors, power door locks), 17-inch machined aluminum wheels, cruise control, MyKey, outside temperature display, front-row 40/20/40 premium cloth bench seat, air conditioning, and more. The standard powerplant is the 3.7-liter V6 (302-horsepower, 278-lb.-ft.-of-torque) that delivers an estimated 17 mpg city and 23 mpg highway. It is also available with the 5.0-liter V8 (360 horsepower and 380 lb.-ft. of torque).
Also new for 2014 is the STX Sport Package, which adds 20-inch machined aluminum painted wheels, black billet grille with body-color surround, black tubular running boards, a unique box detail, and some unique interior upholstery.
