If you know a guy who owns a Ram truck, he is likely to be into hunting, fishing, boating, or camping in some way, shape, or form. Even if he uses his Ram for weekday commuting, he likely enjoys the great outdoors on the weekends and virtually during the work week. In fact, demographically-speaking, 30 percent of Ram 1500 owners hunt, 44 percent fish, 27 percent are boaters and 42 percent are campers. For those guys super into nature and wildlife, and the Mossy Oak brand specifically, here comes great news: there will be a 2014 Ram 1500 Mossy Oak Edition, based on the Ram Outdoorsman and available exclusively as a Ram 1500 4x4 Crew Cab. Introduced in 2011 but taking a one-year hiatus last year, the Mossy Oak Edition celebrates its updated return by featuring a RamBox in both 6-ft.-4-in. and 5-ft.-7in. bed lengths.
Mossy Oak is a brand that makes really cool camouflage designs for hunters and outdoors people. The Mossy Oak Edition will feature a specific Mossy Oak camouflage pattern, called Break-Up Infinity, on the bedcaps and tailgate, with availability extending to the rocker panels (pictured). In order to bring some of the outdoors inside, some interior accents will feature the pattern as well. Mossy Oak logos will adorn the exterior rear quarter panel and interior headrests. Three exterior colors include Black, Black Gold Pearl, and Prairie Pearl, with the option of Canyon Brown or Frost Beige for the interior. Look for these trucks to hit dealerships in early 2014 starting at $39,985, which is quite reasonable for a 4x4 Outsdoorsman Crew Cab Ram.
The relationship between the Ram brand and Mossy Oak extends beyond the Mossy Oak Edition truck. This is a multi-tiered, multiyear relationship aimed at America’s outdoor enthusiasts. Ram sponsors various Mossy Oak-produced television shows on the Outdoor Chanel and the Pursuit Channel, including Hunting the Country, Turkey Thugs, Deer Thugs, Inside the Obsession, and Gamekeepers. In addition to commercials, be on the lookout for Ram trucks throughout the shows.
