Let’s admit it. Some of us like watching the Super Bowl just because of the clever commercials. But of the 108 million viewers last year (Forbes.com), about half of them supposedly have this same motive for observing the most-watched event in America. Super Bowl ads are awesome – awesomely expensive. According to that same article, ad spots for the 2014 Super Bowl (which sold out two months ago) cost a whopping $4 million for 30-second spots and a staggering $8 million for 60-second spots. Combined with the price to produce the commercials, you have quite a chunk of change budged toward this specific event! The high price tag alone for these commercials make them more alluring.
Chevrolet has invested in February 2nd’s Super Bowl XLVIII by featuring the new 2015 Chevrolet Silverado HD in its first TV ad called “Romance.” The commercial spotlights a charming cattle rancher transporting his “bachelor” stud-bull across town to a romantic rendezvous where he, the bull, spots an abundance of eligible females. The Austin, Texas, filmed spot shows off the exterior design, power and capacity of the Silverado HD in a feel-good way as “You Sexy Thing” ramps up in the background. It ends with this message: “The new Chevy Silverado Heavy Duty. Strong for all the roads ahead.”
Looking for some funny car commercials? The Audi Doberhuahua commercial is pretty funny and so is the Volkswagen Wings one.
