Toyota recently revealed a cryptic 30-second commercial teasing some sort of off-road Toyota truck with TRD Pro badges. In the commercial, the Supercross rider pulls up to a remote gas station in his Tundra (Toyota makes its presence known in the Supercross world) and then expresses interest in the aggressive machine that roars by in a cloud of dust.

Well, the mysterious dust cloud has lifted and more information on the off-road style 2015 TRD Pro has been released. Toyota has responded to some sort of demand for an off-road package by way of this new TRD Pro Series. Although perhaps overpriced with an outdated feel, Toyotas have not exactly been lacking in off-road capabilities and features, and it’s not like this is TRD’s first off-road rodeo, as the first off-road package was introduced for the Tacoma in 1998.

The factory-installed TRD Pro Series will be offered on 4x4 models of the Tundra, Tacoma and 4Runner for the 2015 model year, which means we should be seeing action in the fall of 2014. The TRD Pro trucks will share various traits such as TRD Bilstein shocks with remote reservoirs, TRD-tuned front springs, TRD front skid plates, unique “TOYOTA” badged front grilles, TRD floor mats, TRD shift knobs, and black wheels. Color offerings include Inferno, Black and Super White. We’re talking more wheel travel, clearance and terrain protection, better off-road ride quality, beefier tires, and a killer off-road look, right off the showroom floor.
